Bug: "expired" audit items are deleted when the parent control item is edited

Hi, In the SaaS Enterprise, this happened twice in the last days with 2 different controls:

The control had an open & expired audit item (planned start date before than actual date). While reviewing the feedback on these audit item, I decided to edit the parent control item so that the future audit items are refined. After saving it, the pre-existing open & expired audit item disappeared completely.

I’m not sure if a “trash” feature to restore the item still exist. I also tried to find the event in the logs but I could not find it.

As a workaround, I created a new audit item manually and asked the evidence provider to upload the evidence again.

Thank you.

You are right, this is indeed a bug. When you edit an Internal Control that has an expired audit in, the system recalculates the audit dates, which results in those past audits being deleted. This is something we will get fixed.
In the meantime, the workaround would be to do what you already did, which is to create an ad hoc audit.
