I am trying to import a new Standard, which I do have available in the correct csv format.
It contains a reasonable number of 144 controls.
However, once I include the full texts in both “Item Description” and “Item Additional Information” (both of which contain multi-line content), the 2000 line limit is reached after about 1/4 of the controls.
I could divide the file into multiple chunks, but since I can only import data to an empty compliance package, I can only import the first of four files.
I tried creating multiple Compliance Packages, one for each portion, but the compliance Package Item UI does not have any means of re-assigning Items to another package.
How could I go about completely importing the new standard?
A 2000 item limit would be fine, but a 2000 line limit is pretty hindering.
I found a workaround:
I did some experiments.
When the line breaks are given as 
 they are rendered properly, as long as they are not in an editable form field.
For the time being, I will use this as a workaround.
For the future I would love to have one of the following:
Raising the line limit
Asynchronous import, maybe with an extra disclaimer button, indicating a longer run-time
Switching from “line limit” to “item limit”
Allow for an “Append” operation, to allow to import towards a non-empty package, using mutliple 2000 line chunks. Would probably require uniqueness on the item-IDs.
An option to have larger package files imported through the support.
Thanks for the suggestions. We are improving the imports, for example, async imports will be available in some sections on the 3.28.0 release.
Regarding the item limit, unlike items that are limited to 2000, the lines are not specifically limited, I even tried importing 3000 lines and I don’t seem to get any issue.
Whats the exact error are your getting? If im missing something let me know please
