Customizing Dashboard Widgets in Eramba - Emmanuel Katto Uganda

Hello everyone,

My name is Emmanuel Katto. I’m currently working on optimizing our use of Eramba, and I have a specific question regarding the customization of dashboard widgets. We have various stakeholders who need to track different metrics and KPIs relevant to their roles, and I want to ensure that the dashboard reflects these needs effectively.

I’d like to know how to modify existing widgets within the Eramba dashboard. Is there a straightforward process to alter the data displayed in these widgets? Are there any specific configurations or settings within the admin panel that I should be aware of?

Additionally, I’m interested in creating custom widgets that combine multiple data sources or metrics. Is it possible to aggregate data from different modules within Eramba, such as combining risk assessment scores with compliance status? If so, could anyone provide a step-by-step approach or any best practices for doing this?

Any insights or experiences you can share will be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!
Emmanuel Katto

Hello,

As always, we recommend visiting our Learning Portal for a detailed explanation of report functionalities: Learning Portal.

The dashboard operates on the same principles as reports but includes an additional task widget. Visualizations on the dashboard are applied similarly to those in reports, meaning users will only see the data that is available to them. When creating custom dashboards, it is important to focus on the “Apply Visualizations” setting to ensure accurate data representation.

Please note that creating custom widgets is not currently supported, as the charts are hardcoded and do not accommodate specific data sets. For more tailored visualizations, we recommend integrating with a business intelligence (BI) tool.
