Since we use SharePoint for documents and records it would be useful to link to these when adding a Comment. Please consider adding a “Links” option.
It would also be useful if eramba could display PDFs rather than having to download to view, something we try to avoid.
you could paste the url on the comment & attachment functionality? or perhaps you expect something different?
Thank you for your reply. Yes that is a workaround with copy and paste, but I had in mind a clickable hyperlink when viewing. Apologies for not making that clear.
I guess it would be ideal for the Comments to have a Rich Text functionality as in your Policy Content editor:
Alternatively I was thinking a third option (after Comments and Attachments) for adding Hyperlinks in a list with “Display Text” and “URL” fields, or as a distinct kind of attachment (as in Microsoft Planner):
The primary driver for me is to avoid having to download in order to view something.
We’ll keep this in mind for the new UI/UX - thanks!
Can you confirm if the ability to view PDFs directly from Eramba is on the product roadmap for delivery any time soon in “Comments and Attachments”? Similarly is it on the roadmap for “Comments and Attachments” to allow rich text editing, including clickable URLs?
This feature is probably a deal breaker for us, as we are trying to move people away from systems that require attached documents to be downloaded before you can view them.
