Feature - Remove character limits in table fields in new UI

Hi all!

I’m writing on behalf of one of our clients, who is currently working with the new UI. They’ve encountered a “usability issue”: some key fields (such as treatment descriptions, control descriptions, etc.) appear to be limited in the number of characters shown in the table view, and the content gets truncated.

We understand that there is a pop-up that allows you to see the full content, but in their case, this is not a sufficient for them. In the previous interface, the full text was displayed directly in the table without restriction, which made it easier to review and work with the information at a glance — especially when dealing with many entries collaboratively.

Or maybe it could be a good idea, to add a functionality that allows the final user to decided if they want to see all the content of the field or get it truncated. Like the similar functionality that you have in Excel.

We would appreciate it if you could consider restoring this behaviour or at least providing the option to disable the character limit for specific columns in the table view.
