Yes, the current reminder behavior is not ideal and we’re aware of it.
The whole Awareness module is being rebuilt right now and will ship in v3.31. The new notification settings cover exactly this:
- After Start Reminder - first reminder after N days, repeat every N days, maximum reminders
- Before End Reminder - N days before end date
- Non-Completion Notification - optional
