The text area used to add review comments is not resizable and so not very practical for multi line and multi paragraph text. Can this be changed to resizable?
I’m referring to the text area in the lower right hand side of the screenshot, where the text ‘Text’ is visible. Only 2 lines are visible while editing.
I was going to suggest the same, perhaps 4 lines by default and resizable. And once the comment is added, it could also show those 4 lines by default instead of the 2.5 lines that shows today. Thank you!
At the moment, when we write a comment – which usually consists of more than just a few words or a single sentence – we type it in any editor, copy it, and then paste it in.
Is that what we call usability?
I’m not sure what Bootstrap offers in terms of forms: multi-line input would certainly be an
improvement. The ability to resize or maximize them as required would be brilliant!
btw: does html tags works for comments?
For Second:
An ‘Edit’ button would also be useful for correcting e.g. formatting errors (paragraphs, punctuation).
Here’s how it works at the moment:
You write a comment and send it.
Then you look for the result. OK, text needs some corrections.
That means: Delete the comment completely, edit it, paste it back in. Send.
Oh, it still doesn’t look right…
If you think: ‘A comment is a comment and shouldn’t be changed once it’s posted’:
Yes, I agree with you there. But it should be possible to make a correction within a certain timeframe – even just one hour, for all I care.
Or comments become permanent after one day.
However: comments can currently be deleted and re-posted with the current timestamp as often as you like.

Carsten
PS:
i recognized by now: even here in eramba forum i use resizing or maximizing while editing this text.
It convenient so see what i wrote some lines above.. (and how it looks like)
