Notification settings location

Hi All

First time Eramba (community) user here, and am using it for an educational institution. Specifically for IT first, then to expand it to create compliance packages across the board for regulatory frameworks in education.

My question is, that in most of the video content, there appears to be a “Notification” option above objects like controls / policies. My version (3.26 initially, then upgraded to 3.29 to check if it was update related) does not have these options. In order to debug why there are no email alerts arriving for my test data, I would like to know where this option has moved in the newer UI?

If I am looking in the completely wrong place, please feel free to point me to a relevant manual / doc that covers this, I have just been unable to find any that match my screenshots ?

Thank you. I was under the impression that notifications was available in both community and enterprise, and just the configurable element was the missing functionality.

It seems a bit wierd that I can set up emails and smtp etc, but then not have any functionality to have the system send those mails. It seems to me that perhaps a warning when setting up SMTP saying you wont have notifications via mail on this version would be a win.

As an aside, how are people testing the system evaluate notifications? Are they having to move to enterprise, then cancel if not appropriate?

You are right. Having the SMTP option is a bit misleading. We’ll check what can we change to explicitly remark that the community does not have notifications.
