Question about Ldap Synchronization Audit Trails

I’ve just upgraded to Eramba Enterprise v. 3.26.2 and am busy checking every nook and corner for problems when I came across this screen.

I am wondering if we can limit these Ldap Synchronization Audit Trails and if not is my assumption is correct that they are only kept for one month?

Also, are these logs supposed to contain any useful info besides that a synchronization has occurred?

Mine all look like this:

Hello,

This is a hardcoded setting, so it’s not possible to change it.
Your assumption is correct—it’s stored for one month.

Possible logs:

  • Sync process started
  • Sync process finished
  • Sync process failed
  • LDAP Account Found
  • LDAP Account Not Found
  • LDAP Account Ready
  • LDAP Account Not Ready
  • LDAP Account Already Exists
  • Account Created Successfully
  • Account Creating Failed
  • Account Disabled Successfully
  • Account Disabling Failed
  • Account is already disabled
  • Account Deleted Successfully
  • Account Deleting Failed
  • LDAP Sync Process Created
  • LDAP Sync Process Deleted
  • Account ignored
  • Account ignored local
  • Account updated successfully
  • Account updating failed

OK, I guess it is what it is. The auto-deletion after a month seems to work, so no problem there, its just that my logos are completely useless, the username isn’t even shown as you can see in the screenshot.

Maybe in a far away future, there will be some settings we can use to turn logging on and off and raise or lower the verbosity so the logs actually help. Obviously no priority, just a suggestion.
