Question - Database Schema Version Mismatch

Hi team, we are using comunity edition and start using enterprise one, we try to backup database and settings in community edition, try install enterprise, then want to restore database and setting.
but it show error database schema version mismatch. any solution about it?

Hello,

Community and Enterprise versions that you are running are on the same version? To perform migration they have to have the same version.

App Version: 3.21.1 | DB Schema Version: 20230712135759 | Community
Enterprise

App version 3.22.0 | Db schema version 20230918084154 |Enterprise

So which best practice should we do? upgrade the community first to same app version or just downgrade the premium version?

The downgrade is not possible. You have to have both on the latest version.

so best practice step is like this ? :

  1. backup db and setting from community edition (App Version: 3.21.1 | DB Schema Version: 20230712135759)
  2. upgrade eramba community edition to 3.22.0
  3. backup db and setting.
  4. then final step, restore to enterprise edition with newest backup db and settings?

Yes, backup at first step is not necessary.
