No, it is not possible to update via GUI. You need to copy (scp command or ftp) the certificate to the server following the path listed in the documentation
Would I follow the same steps for an Enterprise VM Ware install?
nope, then you need to configure your Apache configuration files and upload your own certificates. your sysadmins should be able to do this as is standard linux work.
